Growing of permanent crops in conversion to organic production

The activities provided in the Project proposal on sub-measure 6.1 "Starting aid for young farmers" are to facilitate and support the process of creating a viable and sustainable farm by increasing the economic size of the farm, improving mechanization, conversion to organic farming, and creating new work places. They will contribute to improving the overall activity, economic efficiency and competitiveness of the applicant. According to the documents for use of agricultural land and the questionnaire form for registration as a agricultural producer, the applicant's holding consists of orchards with plums, apricots and cherries, which are in conversion to organic production in the town of Pirdop. Total cultivated area of properties during the current economic year is 21,008 decares and 21 decares are planted with permanent crops (7,199 decares - cherries, 9,202 decares - apricots, 4,599 decares - plums) and 1,008 decares are fallow. The orchards of the farmer are planted with varieties appropriate and promising for the weather in the region. Growing and maintaining farm is with economic size (measured in Standard production volume ) 29 757 BGN SPV or 15 214,51 EUR SPV . Successful implementation of this Project is not only an improvement in the current state of the Candidate's farm but also a serious investment in its future development. The farmer's aim is to develop a balanced, modern and sustainable agriculture.
