Supporting the process of creating a viable and sustainable farm of the young farmer Galya Petrova Petrova.

An applicant for the project is Galya Petrova Petrova. Its holding is a plant growing, related to the cultivation of orchards - cherries. It is situated in the territory of the village of Zlati voyvoda, Sliven municipality, Sliven. The plant is located on one plot, the varieties "Van" and "Bing" are covered. It was created in 2015, the planting scheme is 5 X 4. The plant is watered, a drip irrigation system has been built. In the current year, the beneficiary has entered into a contract with a certifying organization to switch to organic cultivation of plantations. He commenced his agricultural activity on 14.02.2018, on 08.05.2018 he registered as a farmer under Ordinance № 3 of 1999, during the economic year 2017/2018 cultivated 21,998 decares of cherries. It plans to increase the size of the managed crops by creating new plantations of cherries - 6,000 dk, which also grow in a biological way. At present the farm does not have the necessary agricultural equipment and uses external mechanized services. This sometimes causes problems for the proper agrotechnics of crops and the timely carrying out of agro-technical measures, so its intentions are to invest funds in buying a disc harrow for carrying out some of the most important agro-technical activities related to the activity on the farm - conducting the mechanical struggle with weeds in plantations. Along with improving the economic condition of the holding, the applicant will do the necessary to acquire professional skills and competencies by passing a 150-hour course in agriculture and training on major environmental protection issues in the agricultural sector. The project sets goals and social focus - opening new jobs. The candidate's job is to create additional employment by opening a new job on the farm.
