Project under SubMeasure 6.1 "Support for Young farmers" for the cultivation of permanent crops of plums

The project proposal is for the management and processing of agricultural properties with a total area of ​​24.211 decares and a way of permanent use "orchard", of which 21,500 decares - plums and 2,711 decares fallow land in the territory of the village of Tsalapitsa, Rodopi, reg. Plovdiv. The applicant has a contract with a certification body - controlling person, for control and certification according to Regulation (EC) 834/2007 and is in transition from conventional to organic production. The applicant plans to improve the mechanization of the holding by purchasing a mower in the first business year of the business plan. During the period of implementation of the business plan, the applicant will increase the farmable area of ​​the farm by buying and / or renting additional agricultural land of at least 3,289 decares. This area, together with the area of ​​2,711 decares up to now set aside, will be used to create a minimum of 6,000 decares of new perennial plum trees. This is the intention of the farmer to realize during the economic 2020/2021. The planned increase in the holding will be entirely cultivated by permanent crops - plums by a biological method, for which a contract / annex with a controlling person will be concluded for controlling compliance with the rules of organic production. Within 36 months of signing the grant agreement, the farmer will acquire the necessary professional skills and competences by completing a course of 150 hours in the field of agriculture. It will also undergo basic training on environmental protection issues in the agricultural sector.
