Creating a viable and sustainable farm, by increasing the plum gardens and the transition to organic production of the entire farm of the young farmer Miroslav Velchev Kunev.

The current agricultural activity of the applicant includes the cultivation of stone fruit species - plums with a total utilized agricultural area of 17,372 decares and natural meadows - 4,148 decares. Perennials are bred in a biological way and natural meadows are conventionally grown. There is a control contract. It manages seven properties for which it has notary certified contracts for rent. It has up-to-date drawings and coupons for registration of the contracts at the Municipal Service of Agriculture in Sevlievo. The activity is carried out on the territory of the village of Stokite, Gabrovo district, Sevlievo municipality. The land of the village of Stokite falls within the scope of the mountainous areas identified as disadvantaged. The minimum density of plum gardens is 35 trees per acre. There are no irrigation facilities, buildings or other facilities on the property. Plant protection chemicals and fertilizers are not used or stored on the holding. The requirements for keeping fertilizer logs and plant protection measures for all properties are not met. The applicant himself organizes and manages his activity. No production staff is assigned. Currently he does not keep accounting. The activities necessary for the restructuring and adaptation of the farm are related to the maintenance of the existing perennial plum plantations and the occupation of the established plum gardens of 6,000 decares in the spring of 2021. The plum-pined gardens and the natural meadows will be included in the biological activity of the holding. To improve the mechanization of the farm, a tractor will be purchased in 2019. The tractor will be purchased before the expiration of nine months after signing the Submatch Approval Agreement, observing the requirements. By the end of 2020, the applicant will complete a course of 150 hours and a course on conservation of environmental components in the agricultural sector.
