Project under SubMeasure 6.1 "Support for Young farmers" for the cultivation of perennial trees of cherries, apricots and plums

The project proposal is for the management and cultivation of agricultural land with a total area of ​​21.930 decares, of which 9.134 decares - cherries, 6.201 decares - apricots, apriums and 6.595 decares - plums. The farmer manages and cultivates three fields, all with "orchard" permanent type of use, located in the area of the village of Riltsi, municipality of Blagoevgrad, district of Blagoevgrad - 1 pcs. and in the area of the village of Buranovo, municipality of Kocherinovo, district of Kyustendil - 2 pcs. The applicant contracted a certification body - controlling person, for control and certification according to Regulation (EC) 834/2007 and is in transition from conventional to organic production. The applicant plans to improve the mechanization of the farming by purchasing a trimmer during the first business year of the business plan. During the period of implementation of the business plan the applicant will acquire and/or rent additional agricultural fields amounting to 6 decares. This will increase the farmer's arable farmland. New 6 decares of perennial trees - cherries will be created on this area. The planned increase in the farming will be entirely organic-growing plants for which she will conclude a contract/annex with a controlling person to control compliance with the rules of organic production. Within 12 months of signing the grant agreement, the farmer will acquire the necessary professional skills and competences by completing a course of 150 hours in the field of agriculture. She will also get through a training-information activity on basic problems concerning the protection of the environmental components in the agricultural sector. Increasing arable land will lead to the creation of additional employment. For this purpose, the farmer will open a new job position and provide additional employment to one person, who will be engaged at a labour contract and at full working time.
