Supporting the process of creating a viable and sustainable farm of the young farmer Anna Zhechkova Zhecheva.

Anna Zhecheva's estate is a plant-growing affiliate with the cultivation of orchards - peaches. It is situated in the land of the village of Selyminovo, Sliven municipality, Sliven. The plantations are located on 4 plots. All areas are irrigated, but at the moment there is a drip irrigation system on only a part of them. They were created in the period 2002 - 2005, and include varieties for fresh consumption and for processing: Red Heaven, Elegant Lady, Halle, Blake and Baby Gold. The planting scheme is 4.5 x 3.20. The beneficiary commenced its agricultural activity on August 10, 2017, when it signed a contract for the cultivation of the orchards with peaches, and later on 12.03.2018 it was registered as a farmer under Ordinance No. 3 of 1999. in the current 2017/2018 economic year it processes a total of 21,392 dk of peaches. She has entered into a contract with a certification organization to switch to organic cultivation of orchards. It plans to increase the size of the managed plantations and the inclusion of new fruit species by creating new plantations of cherries - 10,000 dk, which also grow in a biological way. At present, it does not have the necessary agricultural machinery and uses external mechanized services, so the other goal of the applicant is to improve the mechanization of the farm and its intention is to invest some of the funds in the purchase of a disc harrow for carrying out some of the most important agrotechnical activities from the activity on the holding - keeping the weed control in the plantations. Along with improving the physical condition of the farm, it will do the necessary to acquire skills and competences by passing training on the main problems of protecting the environmental components of the agricultural sector and creating additional employment by opening a new workplace with a production orientation on the farm will also have a social effect.
