Supporting the process of creating a viable and sustainable farm of the young farmer Stoyan Zhechkov Zhechev.

The holding of Stoyan Zhechev is a plant growing, related to the cultivation of orchards - peaches. It is located in the village of Seliminovo, Sliven, region Sliven. The orchards are located on 5 plots under lease contracts. All areas are irrigated, but at the moment there is a drip irrigation system on only a part of them. Created in the period 2000-2005, varieties for fresh consumption and for processing are included: Centri, Red Heaven and Glow Heaven, Black Star, Halle, Regina and "Fantasy". The planting scheme is 4.5 x 3.00 - or the cultivated trees in decare are 74 pcs. The Beneficiary commenced its agricultural activity on 10.08.2017 when it entered into a contract for the cultivation of the orchards with peaches, later on 12.03.2018 registered as a farmer under Ordinance No. 3 of 1999. It concluded is a contract with a certification organization for the transition to organic cultivation of orchards. It plans to increase the size of the managed plantations and the inclusion of new fruit species by creating new plantations of cherries - 10,000 dk, which also grow in a biological way. At present, it does not have the necessary agricultural equipment and uses external mechanized services, so the other objective of the applicant is to improve the mechanization of the farm and its intention is to invest part of the funds in the purchase of a tractor to carry out the main part of the agro-technical activities in the orchards , to meet the needs of his farm. Along with improving the physical condition of the farm, it will do the necessary to acquire skills and competences by passing training on the main problems of protecting the environmental components of the agricultural sector and creating additional employment by opening a new workplace with a production orientation on the farm will also have a social effect.
