Georgi Aleksandrov Nikitov is currently 34 years old and has a vegetable farm in the village of Salash, Belogradchik, Reg. Vidin. He was registered as a farmer for the first time under Ordinance № 3 / 1999 on 16.05.2018. He receives family support to maintain the farm’s activities. At present 1.7 hectares of marrows, 0.510 hectares of plums, 0,0400 hectares of apples, 0,0170 hectares of pears, 0.1100 hectares of quinces and 0,0572 decares of natural meadows are grown. He plans to expand his farm with another 0.6 hectares of cherry plantations. To be able to handles most of the jobs on the farm, the applicant plans to buy a cultivator and hire one additional worker. It is envisaged that part of the farm will pass to organic production.
