Growing permanent crops of 22,000 decares of cherries, renting new 6,000 decares of cherry plantations and buying a cultivator.

The project proposal includes the cultivation of existing permanent crops of 22,00 decares of cherries from the current 2017/2018 economic year to the fifth 2022/2023 economic year under the rules of organic production. Purchase of a cultivator - 1 pc. in 2019 at a projected value of 2 000.00 lv. In 2019, the farmer envisages acquiring professional skills and competencies by completing a 150-hour course in agriculture and training on key environmental protection issues in agricultural sector by completing a course or participating in information activities on these issues with a minimum of 8 hours. In the same year, the applicant will rent 6,00 decares of permanent cherry plantations. The farmer provides for the creation of a new number of jobs in his farm in 2021. It is envisaged that the entire farm will move to organic production, and new cherry plantations will also be cultivated under the rules of organic production by an annex to the contract with the controller that was signed.
