Project 6.1 "Start-up support for young farmers" for perennial plantations of plums, sour cherries, potatoes and natural meadows

The applicant manages and cultivates agricultural land with a total area of ​​46.331 decares, incl. plums - 9,627 decares, sour cherries - 3,851 acres, potatoes - 12,990, sunflower - 12,189 and natural meadows 7,674 decares. The farm manages and cultivates land plots on the lands of the town of Ihtiman, Verinsko, village of Boeritsa, Ihtiman, reg. Sofia region and the village of Tserovo, Lesichovo, reg. Pazardzhik. Potatoes, sunflower and natural meadows are grown conventionally. For perennial plums and sour cherries, the farmer has entered into a contract with a certification body - controlling person, for control and certification under Regulation (EC) 834/2007 and is in transition from conventional to organic production. The applicant plans to improve the mechanization of the farm by purchasing a trimmer. Also in the first business year will replace growing sunflower with potatoes. During the second marketing year, the farmer will purchase and / or rent and / or lease additional agricultural land amounting to 3.4 decares. This will increase the farmland's arable farmland. On this area will create a new 3.4 decares plum plantations. The planned increase of the plum plant will be entirely organic farming, for which it will conclude a contract / annex with a controlling person to control the observance of the rules of organic production. Within 36 months of signing the grant agreement, the farmer will acquire the necessary professional skills and competences by completing a course of 150 hours in the field of agriculture. It will also undergo basic training on environmental protection issues in the agricultural sector. Increasing arable land will lead to the creation of additional employment. Opening a new job and providing additional employment for 1 person. worker, the farmer will implement through employment and full-time employment.
