The project proposal of the farm manager Alexandra Tsvetanova is in line with the objectives of sub-measure 6.1 "Start-up for Young Farmers" of Measure 6 "Development of farms and enterprises" under the RDP 2014-2020 to facilitate and support the process of setting up viable and sustainable farms and promoting employment. The expected results with a view to implementing the proposed project help to increase the number and share of young farmers in order to ensure sustainable development and facilitate structural changes in agriculture as well as to promote employment and job creation. The project proposal presents an agricultural holding consisting of 18,313 decares of plum garden, located in the village of Izvor, Dimovo municipality, Vidin district. With a view to developing the farm and increasing its economic size, it is planned to plant 7,000 decares of perennial plums. The strategy for the implementation of the project activities envisages the purchase of a tractor in order to improve the modernization of the farm, participation in training for acquiring professional qualification in the field of agriculture and training for preservation of the environmental components, as well as transition to organic production for production of quality and environmentally friendly agricultural fruit products and creating employment for one person.
