Craftsman's workshop for artistic woodworking and carving in the village of Okorsh, Dulovo municipality

The current project proposal of the candidate aims to create a craft workshop in the village of Okorsh, Dulovo municipality. Dragomir Ivanov holds a Master and Master Certificate for the craft "Woodworking and Wood Carving". The applicant plans to set up a craftsmanship workshop in the village of Okorsh to practice the specific craft and perform demonstration activities. An outbuilding, reconstruction and change of the purpose of the semi-massive outbuilding in the property will be made in order to adapt it to the needs of the craftsmanship. The candidate intends to use one of the rooms in the building to demonstrate the craft activity. Dragomir Ivanov will organize groups of visitors to demonstrate the process of artistic woodworking and woodcarving, using manual work combined with special machines (artistic wood processing plant and laser machine / engraving). Visitors will also have the opportunity to participate in the amateur craftsmanship of an article under the guidance of Master Ivanov. With the implementation of the project, the candidate will develop a competitive and profitable activity that will contribute both to the revival of the cultural heritage and to the diversification of non-agricultural activities in the particular rural area. The lack of competition in the municipality of Dulovo in terms of the activity which the candidate plans to develop will enable him to fill the existing market niche with a sustainable, unique for the region and profitable activity.
