PRODUCTION FACILITY FOR COMPOST

This project proposal is related to the realization of investments to build a production facility for the production of compost. The investment will be realized on a terrain located in the land of Kapitan Dimitrievo village, Peshtera municipality, for which there is a granted right to build. A production facility with an area of 1660 m2 will be built, where 26718 t / y of high quality compost with high sedimentation and enrichment characteristics will be produced. The raw materials to be used -stabilized organic fractions, as well as the selected production method, ensure the competitiveness of the product, which is comparable in its qualities and characteristics with the best fertilizers and compost from worms. European Compost Network surveys show trends in increasing consumption in all EU member states. All abovementioned necessitates the sustainability and economic viability of the project, which in turn guarantees the sustainability of newly created jobs. The project, in addition to improving the economic performance of the applicant through the introduction of new production capacity, aims to open 12 new jobs. New jobs will improve the living standard of the population in a region with high unemployment rate. The firm, in parallel with the diversification of its agricultural activities to non-agricultural activities, is also considerate to the conservation of nature. The incorporation of compost prevents soil erosion. The processing of stabilized organic fractions that are harmful to the environment in high quality compost is seen as a measure for reducing CO2 in the atmosphere as every ton of carbon input into the soil through the compost saves 3.67 tons of CO2 released into the atmosphere. In conclusion, the objectives of the project are both to increase the economic sustainability and competitiveness of Tabakov-74 EOOD by diversifying into non-agricultural activities and to favor sustainable employment in the region and the preservation of the environment.
