Breeding of Bee families

The farm is managed by Rumen Radoev. It is located in Ugarchin, municipality. Ugarchin district Lovech. The farm is livestock breeding, with 125 bee families growing in the current marketing year 2018/2019. Bee families are raised in 10 frame hives from the Lang Stroth Route system and 12 frame hives from the Dadan Blat system. Each hive is numbered as required. The apiary is registered in the BFSA-OD, Lovech and in the register for the raised bee families in the Mayor of the town of Ugarchin. Certificate of registration of the animal breeding establishment No 572 / 01.03.2017 has been issued, which is entered in the register of the breeding establishments of the Regional Veterinary and Veterinary Registry with veterinary registration number 55800519. The veterinary-medical diary is kept. The farm produces bee honey in the conventional way. Bee families are in-house rearing, with no mobile beekeeping being practiced. The managerial, administrative and production activity is carried out by the farmer. There are no employees employed at the time of application and there are no plans to hire them in the future. The farm is not located in a nitrate-vulnerable zone. The number of bee families will reach 165 by the selected screening period and their number will be maintained until the end of the business plan period. The expansion of the apiary during the project period is envisaged to be carried out through own breeding activities of the available bee families. The property on which the beekeeping activity is developed does not fall within the boundaries of protected territories within the meaning of the Protected Areas Act and within the boundaries of protected areas within the meaning of the Biodiversity Act.
