Growing bee families

The farm of Stoyan Mihov Mihov is located on the land of Gorno Belevo village, Bratya Daskalovi municipality, Stara Zagora district. It is not in a mountainous area and does not fall within the scope of nitrate-vulnerable areas. It is not in the sanitary protection zone of deposits and water abstraction facilities. The land of the village of Gorno Belevo falls within the protected area "River Omurovska" - PA under the Habitats Directive, but the property on which the apiary is located is in urbanized territory and is, within the meaning of the Biodiversity Act, outside the protected areas. The farm is developing into a priority sector "Livestock" - raising bee families. During the 2018/2019 marketing year, the farmer grows 125 bee families. The apiary is registered in accordance with the requirements of the Law on Veterinary Medicine and Ordinance 10/2015 on the conditions for registration and the procedure for identification of bee families. The applicant plans to continue its development in the same direction by increasing the number of bee families
