Growing perennials: fruit - cherries, plums, walnuts, EQF - lavender and alfalfa

The applicant's farm is located on the territory of the town of Shipka, Kazanlak municipality, Stara Zagora district, where perennial crops are grown: fruit prunes - plums and cherries, fruit nuts - walnuts, EQF - lavender, alfalfa and fallow land. The entire agricultural holding is located in a mountainous disadvantaged area. The total area under cultivation is 42,825 decares. All used agricultural properties are the property of the applicant. Cultivated crops are registered in IACS. The farmer does not have his own agricultural machinery and uses external mechanized services for agricultural activities. During the current marketing year 2018/2019, the farm cultivates fruit plums on an area of ​​4,197 acres, cherries on an area of ​​3,005 acres, walnuts on an area of ​​4,805 acres, lavender on an area of ​​5,699 acres, alfalfa on an area of ​​21,120 acres and set-aside land on an area of ​​3,999 acres. The plantations carry out all the necessary plant protection measures for pest control. There are no employees on the farm for the implementation of the activity at the time of application and it is not planned to hire them for the period of implementation of the business plan. The economic size of the holding at the time of application is EUR 7,692.57 standard production volume (SPO).
