Growing bee families and improving economic development in the farm of Nikolay Anchev Tsankov.

Nikolay Tsankov carries out his agricultural activity on the territory of two settlements. One of the apiaries is located in the village of Balanite, Municipality of Gabrovo, District of Gabrovo. There are 42 bee families in this apiary. Apiary was registered in the BFSA register in 2016 with registration number 5301-0009, with a capacity of 120 units. The other apiary is located in the village of Vodno, municipality. Guard, district Veliko Tarnovo. There are 83 bee families in this apiary. Apiary was entered in the BFSA's register in 2017 with registration number 51660005, with a capacity of 200 units. Both settlements are located in lands that are included in the list of designated as unfavorable mountain areas. According to the farmer's current questionnaire, 125 bee families are being raised on the farm this year. The economic size of the holding is EUR 7988,94. The apiaries are located in properties managed on the basis of ten annual notarized leases. The properties where the apiaries are located do not fall within the boundaries of a protected area within the meaning of the Protected Areas Act and within the boundaries of protected areas within the meaning of the Biodiversity Act. The bee hives that are used are the Dalat Blat system. All are numbered according to veterinary requirements. Bee families are conventionally bred. At present, no accounting is kept for the activity. The farmer has personal beekeeping equipment, one centrifuge and one print bathtub, which serve both bees.
