Economic development and strengthening of a beekeeping farm

The applicant Stoil Nedkov is a natural person, registered as an agricultural farmer in the Agricultural Directorate of Rousse under Ordinance No. 3 for establishing and maintaining a register of farmers. Currently, according to the activity report and inventory, certified by an official veterinarian, it is raising 125 bee families. The economic size of the farm is EUR 7988,94. The farmer will achieve and maintain the viability of his farm with the main activity of beekeeping for honey production. It intends to increase the number of bee families raised by increasing the number available by 15 in the first business year, by another 20 by the next one, thus reaching a total of 160 bee families in the second year when it intends to apply for a second payment. The increase will be mainly through own breeding activity and, if necessary, purchase. An increase in the economic size of the farm will be achieved by a minimum of 2000 Euros, measured in Standard Production Volume. In order to improve the quality of production and compliance with food quality requirements, an investment in FTA will be made, namely the purchase of a motor. In connection with the provision of good conditions for the extraction and storage of bee honey and the creation of better working conditions, the farmer envisages the repair of the existing premises for the storage of equipment and extraction of honey. At this stage, and according to a quantified value account, the repair amount amounts to BGN 4500.00. The business plan will be implemented within nine months after signing the approval contract under sub-measure 6.3.
