Starting aid for the development of a small farmer by Katya Glikou for the cultivation of cherries, apricots, plums, peaches, greenhouse tomatoes and the hiring of new apricot and cherry plantations.

The farmer grows 5,993 acres of cherries, 1,516 acres of apricots, 1,400 acres of plums, 0,700 acres of peach gardens and 0,151 acres of greenhouse tomatoes. For the restructuring of its farm, the beneficiary intends to lease new 6,000 acres of cherry and 4,500 acres of apricot gardens in the second year of implementation of the business plan. The cherry trees are grafted on a mahalebak rootstock with a planting scheme of 4.5m by 4m - 55 trees in a decare. Apricot gardens are grafted on a Janke pad, and the planting scheme is 5m by 5m - 40pcs / ha.In doing so, it will fulfill Objective 1 of its business plan - "Increasing the economic size of the holding by at least 2000 Euros as measured in Standard Production Volume". In order to optimize production on the farm, the beneficiary plans to purchase a tractor suitable for the needs of the farm. This investment will be made within nine months after the approval of the project. To this end, the beneficiary will continue to keep logs of plant protection and used fertilizers, soil improvers and biologically active substances on a regular basis. He will take a course on working with plant protection products by a professional group.
