Development of a beekeeping farm and honey production in the territory of Sokolovo village, municipality of Lovech

Tihomir Mateev is a farmer registered in accordance with Ordinance No. 3/1999 2017. The farm is entirely aimed at raising bee families and producing honey and is located in the village of Sokolovo, municipality of Lovech. Currently, the farmer manages 80 pcs. Bee families. In order to diversify the activities of the farm of Tihomir Mateev, it is envisaged that in the second year of implementation of the business plan, 3.5 ha of agricultural land will be rented, on which a new permanent plum plantation should be created. In order to carry out a more precise and timely part of the agrotechnical activities in the plantations, it is planned to purchase a car with better passability and a large cargo area for the transport of beekeeping equipment and products from the new plantation. In order to optimize the process of raising bee families, extract honey and improve mechanization, a machine for inverted syrup and 2 pcs of electric knives for honeycombs are planned to be purchased. Tihomir Mateev has completed a course of 150 hours in the profession "Beekeeper", but in order to comply with the requirements of the environmental standards, it is planned to complete a course of 18 hours of training on the main problems of environmental protection in agriculture.
