The applicant is a natural person, registered as an agricultural farmer in the Agricultural Directorate of Rousse under Ordinance No. 3 for the establishment and maintenance of a register of farmers. The agricultural activity is basic to the applicant and is aimed at raising bee families for the purpose of producing honey. His farm is located on the territory of Trastenik village, Ivanovo municipality, Ruse district. There are currently 125 bee families. In order to facilitate the activity in the apiary and improve the quality of the production and compliance with the requirements for food quality, and to modernize the overall activity, beekeeping equipment - a printing machine and a wax machine - will be purchased. It will continue to raise bee families and increase their numbers mainly through their own breeding activities and, if necessary, purchase them. Their number is projected to be increased by at least 35 and thus the total number will reach 160. An increase in the economic size of the holding will be achieved by a minimum of EUR 2,000. It will receive at least 18 hours of training on major environmental issues in agriculture.
