Sustainable development of a small farm in the region of Plovdiv

Farm will grow in the field of dairy sheep. The number of dairy sheep will increase by minimum 30 in the first and by another minimum of 30 in the second business year from their own breeding activities to a minimum of 167 breeding sheep by the date of verification of the implementation of the business plan. The female lambs will be left for breeding. Revenues for the farm will come from the sale of milk and from the sale of male and non-breeding female lambs. The total size of the managed agricultural land will be reduced by 3,800 decares already in the first business year, since the contract for one of the properties will not be renewed. The implementation of the BP will start in the first business year with the activities of animal and crop production and purchase of a tractor for the needs of the farm. The owner will receive a TP 2 consultancy package under sub-measure 2.1.2 of the NAAS. Registration will be made at the BFSA - Department of Plant Protection and the necessary documentation will be kept regarding the managed agricultural land. Successful implementation of the production program and the set goals will require: Adherence to the technology of breeding and ensuring proper and balanced nutrition of the animals depending on their age, productivity and physiological condition. Adherence to the principles of prevention and disinfection in order to prevent animal diseases. Compliance with the requirements for protection and welfare in their cultivation and use. Ensuring optimal microclimatic parameters in the breeding premises. Proper and timely implementation of agro-technical measures for the cultivation of forage crops. Apply for all farm support schemes. Achieving and complying with all applicable national and European legislation.
