Mehmed has been engaged in potato cultivation since 2013. For the economic year 2018/2019 he rents two properties on which he planted 14,879 acres of potatoes. The properties currently under cultivation by Mehmed are one in the land of Belitsa and one in the land of Kraishte. Specifically, the individual properties are:   property № 03504.262.23 with an area of ​​11,753 acres located in the locality "Two pears" Belitsa with ECATE 03504 managed on the basis of a lease agreement dated 25.09.2019. with a contract term of 6 years.  property №025-184 with an area of ​​3.126 decares located in the area "Valtata" in the village of Kraishte with ECATTE 39270 managed on the basis of a lease agreement dated with a term of 1 year. He planted potatoes on the leased area. In the coming years, Mehmed plans to grow his farm by 2021 and plans to plant 20,879 acres with potatoes. The applicant has chosen to grow this type of crop production, since the area is traditional in potato cultivation, has a good selling price on the market, and this gives the applicant an incentive to continue farming. This year he cultivates the farmland himself without hiring additional labor. At present, the farmer does not have the necessary agricultural equipment to carry out the mechanized processes on the farm, which is why he uses external services from other farmers. The purpose of applying under Sub-measure 6.3 "Starting aid for the development of small farms" to the applicant is to develop economically and strengthen the agricultural economy as a sustainable and viable unit, improve environmental protection and combat climate change.
