Raising sheep and goats

The farm is located in the village of Drenov, municipality. Lovech, region Lovech. During the current marketing year 2019/2020, the farm raises 98 dairy sheep; other sheep / ram / - 2 pcs. and mother goats - 1 pc. The natural meadows are 6,500 decares; the natural pastures and meadows are 297,600 decares and alfalfa 14,400 decares. The livestock farm is registered in the Integrated Information System / VETIS / of the BFSA, OD - Lovech under № 5562-0154 and new registration № 2366670041. The farmer has issued a certificate for registration of a livestock farm № 753 / 06.07.2018. It is issued on the basis of Art. 137, para. 6 of the Law for the veterinary medical activity. The farmer keeps the animals in a livestock building that he owns. By the selected period for checking the implementation of the business plan, the number of dairy sheep from 98 when submitting the project proposal will increase to 128, and this number will be maintained until the end of the business plan period. The number of other sheep, sows and the size of alfalfa and natural meadows and pastures will be maintained the same until the end of the business plan period as at the time of application. The activities envisaged to overcome or prevent the consequences of the complicated epizootic situation are compliance with biosecurity measures and animal welfare. With regard to biosecurity on the farm, it is planned to make an investment related to the improvement of fencing facilities, namely the purchase of security cameras at the farm and investments related to the storage of animal by-products, namely the purchase of a freezer.
