Sustainable development of a small farm in the region of Pazardzhik

It is envisaged that in the future the farm will be of a mixed type - poultry - plant. The number of fattened turkeys will increase to 90. In the first marketing year their number will increase to 40, and by the period of inspection the implementation of the business plan - in the second marketing year, will be 90. The small turkeys will be buy at the age of one day and will be fattened until reaching the required weight for sale / 6 - 7 kg for females and 9 - 10 kg for male birds /, from which income will be generated for the farm. During the second economic year the cultivation of 30 decares of sunflower will start. Part of the production will be used for feeding the birds, and the rest will be sold and revenues for the farm will be realized. of birds and receiving a consulting package TP 2 under sub-measure 2.1.2 of the NAAS. The farmer will also take a course with a minimum duration of 8 hours in connection with the prevention or overcoming of a complicated epizootic situation, including the improvement of the biosecurity on the farm even more. During the first economic year, the owner will make investments in connection with increasing the biosecurity of the site - will set aside a place for disinfection at the entrance of the site and will purchase the appropriate equipment - water jet and motor sprayer for disinfection. He will complete a 30-hour course in agriculture or a 30-hour course related to the main problems of environmental protection in agriculture. It will observe the principles of prevention and disinfection in order to prevent diseases. We will comply with the requirements for animal welfare during breeding and during their transportation. Ensuring optimal microclimatic parameters in poultry houses. Proper and balanced nutrition of birds according to their age and purpose.
