Reconstruction and rehabilitation of existing streets in the town of Banya

Public infrastructure is a key factor in providing basic services to the population of Banya and ensuring access to them. The sustainable socio-economic development of the city is inextricably linked to the existing infrastructure and the quality of the services provided to the population. The lack of investment for renovation of the existing infrastructure and the inadequate quality of the services offered is the main element, which continues to expand the development boundaries between the municipal center - Karlovo and the spa town of Banya. It is also an obstacle to creating equal opportunities in socio-economic development. By realizing the project proposal, 4 streets will be reconstructed in Banya - Karlovska Street, Stara Planina Str., Lipite Str. and Baikal Str., as well as the adjoining sidewalks. Project activities include: - construction of new asphalt flooring for Stara Planina Str. and Karlovska Str. - rearrangement of pavement for Lipite Str. and Baikal Str. - replacement of curbs and sidewalks on existing streets. According to the prepared work project, 10,125 sq m of existing streets and facilities and their accessories in the town of Banya will be reconstructed and rehabilitated, as well as 4350 sq. m. rehabilitated sidewalks and facilities and accessories. The overall objective of this project proposal is to improve the quality of life in the municipality of Karlovo and in particular in the town of Banya by reconstruction and rehabilitation of the existing municipal road infrastructure in order to improve access to basic services for the population, stimulating the sustainable development of the municipality and the city.
