Reconstruction of an adjacent yard and construction of a fence at Dimitar Madzharov Secondary School, Madzharovo

Dimitar Madzharov Secondary School - Madzharovo is the only school in the Madzharovo municipality. It teaches pupils from the 1st to the 12th grade. Due to the significantly reduced number of pupils, which is a natural reflection of the decrease of the population in the rural area, School has a protected and central status and has a decisive role in the integration of children of minorities and their parents in the field of education and initial literacy. The existence and preservation of the school gives life to both the city and the municipality as a whole. Increasing its attractiveness, improving its material base is essential to attract and retain students. The implementation of the project aims to improve the learning process and to ensure easier integration of young people and socialization in society. Currently, the building school fund has been upgraded, working cabinets, workshops, a museum collection and a cafeteria are in excellent condition. In this regard, the project envisages the development of the yard space of School, which, besides being a place directly related to the conduct of the educational process, has the potential to develop as a preferred territory for the students throughout the day. There are places for a gazebo, a place for relaxing in the square and a place for fitness. The damped flooring will be replaced. Supporting walls will be built in certain places to provide a safe environment as well as a fence on all sides of the property and partial renovation of the visible reinforced concrete parts. The implementation of the envisaged construction works will ensure an accessible environment for people with disabilities and support their socialization. The implementation of the project will support the efforts of the Madzharovo Municipality in its purposeful policy to improve living standards and conditions of provision of educational services as well as to overcome the differences between the rural area and the agglomeration areas.
