Construction and equipping of a school gym in “Hristo Botev” secondary school in Dragoman

There is one secondary school in Dragoman municipality - "Hristo Botev" High School, which needs building and furnishing of a school gym. The school is a municipal educational infrastructure of local importance and is funded by the municipal budget. Up to now, sports activities in the school are conducted in a tailor-made classroom that does not meet the needs of the learning process. The Municipality has developed this project as part of its long-term strategy for improvement of education and raising the living standards in the region, as well as the need to build a sports infrastructure in the school. Its main objective is to promote social inclusion, poverty reduction and economic development in the Dragoman municipality by building a closed sports infrastructure, including its equipment. The specific objectives of the project are: - creating conditions for better education of young people by improving the educational infrastructure; - improving the quality of education by creating modern working conditions for teachers; - raising the living standard by ensuring competitive education. The project includes one main activity, which will achieve the main objective: "Building a closed sports infrastructure, including its equipment". It covers the execution of construction and assembly works and the purchase of equipment. A space of 506.50 sq. m will be created, which will allow the practicing of sport activities such as volleyball, basketball, table tennis, tennis, badminton and others. The gym will meet the school's needs for sport activities as well as organization of various sports and festive events.
