"Construction and Renovation of Spaces for Wide Public Use in Roman Town, Roman Municipality - Green Areas to Malak Iskar Street"

The project proposal "Construction and Renovation of Public Spaces in Roman, Roman Municipality - Green Areas to Malak Iskar Street" provides for the construction and renovation of areas for wide public use on the territory of Roman - green areas to " Malak Iskar ". The condition of the green areas in Roman is unsatisfactory, does not provide the necessary qualities of life and social integration and is in imbalance with the modern trends and development of European cities. The alley network is missing. Links between regions are unclear or missing. The flooring is in poor technical condition. The access of disadvantaged people to the area is difficult. The vegetation consists mainly of coppice trees and shrubs. The conditions for active and passive recreation are insufficient. Elements of urban furnishings (durable decorative pavements, recreation areas, garbage bins, lighting, etc.) are missing. Children's facilities are not built. Existing concrete columns for district heating are amortized and dangerous. The project proposal provides for the implementation of some more important tasks, namely: - Construction of a park area with park equipment and furniture, shaping of pedestrian alleys - Creating outdoor fitness sites; - Creating a children's playground with facilities; - Providing places for rest and rest - gazebos, benches - Replacement of decorative pavements; - Green Building - planting of new plants - tree species, as well as flowers and ornamental grasses - Drainage of the territory by surface water drainage; The main contribution of the selected project will be related both to the improvement of living conditions in the municipality of Roman and to the realization of the objectives set in the Municipal Development Plan 2014-2020. The total population of the Municipality of Roman - 5772 persons, according to the data of NSI in December 2016, will benefit from the newly built park area
