Building an Outdoor Gym in Pavlikeni

The present project proposal provides for the construction of a sports ground with the necessary facilities for outdoor sports and a children's playground. Activities include removing of old sports facilities and putting new ones in line with new outdoor sports trends as well as setting up a children playground. The activities included are fully in line with Priority 2 "Achieving Social Cohesion through Strengthening Human Capital for Development, Specific Objective 4" Development of Culture, Sports and Youth Activities "of the Municipal Development Plan of the Municipality Pavlikeni 2014-2020. The long-term benefits of social and economic to society of the project are related to the need for social inclusion, poverty reduction and economic development of Pavlikeni municipality. In created open-air sports infrastructure, the living standard of the residents of Pavlikeni Municipality will be raised, as well as striving to keep young people in the municipality. The present project cover the problems with missing of alternative forms of outdoor sports and games. The sports infrastructure in Pavlikeni municipality is characterized by morally outdated facilities and the lack of space for children and young people to play and sport in the city. There is insufficient number of sports grounds that provide opportunities for self-organized or organized sports. Recognizing the importance of sport as an impact mechanism and as a form of non-formal learning, the focus of the project is to effectively involve young people and children in public life, to create conditions for systematic sporting activities to build habits for healthy way of life, strong character and will, sense of responsibility and tolerance. Through the built and improved small-scale infrastructure in Pavlikeni, the municipality will become an attractive place for business and for living.
