Reconstruction of a building of Lyaskovets Municipal administration in order to improve its energy efficiency

The condition of the public infrastructure of Lyaskovets municipality as a basic factor for the development of the region and improvement of the quality of life for the population has been identified as a key problem which in order to be addressed adequately needs a long-term planning and attracting a huge financial resource. An important element of the public infrastructure is the public buildings which are directly connected with the provision of public and administrative services for the citizens and the business. Although a lot of investment has been made in improving the energy efficiency of the municipal buildings of Lyaskovets municipality, the need of investment in energy efficiency measures for the building of municipal administration where more than 90% of the public services at local level are provided has not been addressed yet. The project proposal is aiming to improve the energy efficiency of the public building which is municipal property though which the minimum energy requirements for the building will be preserved, the technical characteristics of the building will be improved and the yearly energy savings will be increased. With the implementation of the project proposal the following objectives will be reached: - to improve the physical environment in a public infrastructure through energy efficiency measures; - to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the public infrastructure in the building of municipal administration as a prerequisite for a better administrative service; - to improve the energy characteristics of the building of the municipal administration of Lyaskovets municipality; - realized savings of 49 t/year emissions of carbon dioxide of a building public municipal property; - realized energy savings of 237 929 kwh on yearly basis of a a building public municipal property; - direct effect on 12419 citizens of Lyaskovets municipality which will have access to improved public infrastructure and services.
