The applicant - municipality of Samokov fully complies with the eligible applicants under this procedure as it is a municipality from a rural area, which owns at least 10 ha forest areas. The project will be implemented on the territory of the municipality, which has an of forestry of 50.00% up to 59.99%. The project proposal of the Municipality of Samokov is aimed at the purchase of soil and resource-saving machines and equipment for transportation, loading and transport of timber harvested on the territory of the municipality. As a result of the realization of the planned investment, new 26 jobs will be opened. The opening of new jobs will be fully subordinated and in line with the EU's policy on gender equality and non-discrimination. The main result to be achieved through the implementation of the project proposal is the achievement of sustainable forest management through felling, in order to improve the state of the forests, restore, preserve genetic resources, harvest timber and preserve and increase the basic functions of forests.
