"Reducing the risk of forest fires on the territory of the Municipality of Etropole"

The candidate for the present procedure, the municipality of Etropole, corresponds to the eligible applicants under the conditions for applying under the procedure BG06RDNP001-8.004 under sub-measure 8.3 "Prevention of forest fires in forest fires, natural disasters and catastrophic events". The project proposal of the Municipality of Etropole is aimed at implementation of activities leading to the reduction of forest fires in the forest territories of the municipality, qualified as areas with a high risk of forest fires. The planned activities are in compliance with the approved forestry plan of the municipality and include the following activities: 1. Creation of forestry barriers; 2. Creation of mineralized strips; 3. Construction of water source for fire fighting; 4. Construction of forest roads - serving fire-fighting infrastructure, fire-fighting water source and fire-fighting activities in forests; The expected result of the implementation of the project activities is to increase the municipal areas with preventive activities against forest fires, as a result of which the preservation of biodiversity, water and soil management will be improved. The expenses necessary for the implementation of the project proposal fully correspond to the eligible for the procedure and include: 1. Expenditure for creation of forestry barriers; 2. Costs for the creation of mineralized strips; 3. Expenditures for the construction of water source for fire fighting; 4. Expenses for construction and improvement of forest roads; 5. Expenditure on fees for architects, engineers and consultancy services incurred both in the process of preparation of the project before the submission of the project proposal and during its implementation. The implementation of the activities envisaged under the project will protect a total of 2,109 ha.
