Acquiring Skills for Sustainable Functioning of Producers and Fruits Group "Dunav Plod" Ltd.

The company is a recognized organization of fruit growers in 2017. With the implementation of this project, members will acquire the skills to work in an organization. The costs set out in the present project, corresponding to Art. 27 of Regulation 1305/2013 gives direction for development of the Company with the activities set out in the measure aimed at improving and stable functioning of the supply chain of fruit produced by the producer organization. Existing problems are related to prices in the fruit supply chain. On the one hand, the purchase prices of the primary fruit products received by farmers are very low. On the other hand, it is found that the prices paid by fruit users are high. Analyzes clearly show that the bulk of the value added along the food supply chain goes to traders and processors, and a very small part remains for farmers. As a basic one the reason for this is the fragmentation of agricultural production, as a result of which, in the process of negotiating purchase prices, farmers are the economically weaker country. There is a need to improve farmers' co-operation in order to increase the competitiveness of both fruit growers and farmers. One of the main mechanisms for regulating relations in the fruit supply chain are the establishment of producer groups and organizations. It is expected that, after the start of work, groups and organizations of fruit growers will contribute to increasing production and supply of high quality products that meet European standards and market requirements. The co-marketing of agricultural products will help small and medium-sized farms to access the market. The project involves theoretical and practical training of representatives of the members of the organization. Extensive costs are presented in the budget.
