Supporting the production of high quality agricultural products of "Cooperative Bulgarian Lavender" OOD

"Cooperative Bulgarian Lavender" Ltd. is a newly formed group of young farmers in the sector of "Medical and Essential Oil Crops. At present the group processes 191 decares of lavender plantations, 13 decares of grain and 157 decares of coriander, which are planned for processing in the first business year of the business plan. In the second year, the lavender areas will be increased to 480 decares or a growth of nearly 280 decares of plantations. In the third year of the business plan, the group plans to increase the lavender plantations by a further 100 decares and in the fourth and fifth years the production rate should be confirmed. As a result of the implementation of the business plan for a 5-year period, the total lawn areas are expected to increase by an additional 580 decares for the entire group. The main focus of the development concept is the production of high quality, competitive agricultural products meeting all European standards and requirements, increasing the yield and sales of the product of lavender plantations, supporting the access of Cooperative Bulgarian Lavender Ltd. to the market of small and medium farms. In the five-year period of implementation of the business plan, the group of producers will implement a number of measures to exchange experience and best practices with foreign groups recognized in the same sector, focusing on innovative practices to tackle climate change, optimal use of natural resources and the environment , exchange of best practices for the production of the highest quality products, including according to the European standards, preparation of a marketing strategy for the development of short supply chains with the local markets, market and job creation. The expected results towards the end of the 5th year of the business plan are related to an increase in the production volume, incl. improving its quality, improving trade links and introducing environmental protection measures.
