Establishment and Sustainable Development of producers’ group Kitka - 2016 OOD

The dairy sector at national and European level faces many challenges and crisis moments. As a result of a low purchase price and a number of unfavorable climatic phenomena, there is a large drop in the incomes of farmers who are engaged in milk production. United by the unfavorable situation, the eight dairy farmers have a common goal in their professional development - not only to survive this difficult time but to modernize and improve the profitability of their farms. In this respect, centralized information processing and shared solution to common problems is very important. The association will allow negotiating higher milk purchase prices and lower costs. During the implementation of the BP, the group will develop by increasing the number of animals and their milking by the current members, as well as attracting new members, proved with their correctness and professionalism. The main focus of the producers group will be to take over all activities that are irrelevant to the agricultural activities of its members, namely the establishment of short supply chains and the creation of a centralized administration center consisting of the following services: accounting services incl. operational and annual reporting, legal consultations, preparation of agreements and contracts, assistance and presentation of the group and the members before state and municipal administrations, organization and mediation in the sale of the raw milk produced by the members of the group, management of the processes of contracting and supply of goods and services for the production process, organization of trainings and international exchanges, etc. For the provision of all these services will be hired the appropriate specialists who will be located in an office with the necessary technical and inventory equipment, and rented cars if necessary.
