Establishment and stabilization of producers’ organization Sredets Milk

In recent years, the cow and sheep milk sector is experiencing serious difficulties. Low purchase prices, an uncertain market and constantly rising costs are part of them. In Bulgaria, the situation is even more serious due to the lack of organization in the sector. That is precisely why the partners in Sredets Milk gather and decide to unite in a producers’ organization. The main focus of the organization will be to take over all activities outside the direct production, namely trainings, international exchange consultations, mediation in negotiating and organizing the sale of raw milk, assistance to members in their contacts with state and municipal services, etc. To this end, the organization will hire specialists and experts to offer relevant services to its members. In order to develop the organization, we will work towards increasing the milking rates of the members' herds as well as the number of animals owned. In support of this goal visits will be organized at exhibitions in Bulgaria and Europe. Synchronous teamwork is very important and therefore a visit to exchange experience with a working group / producers’ organization recognized in the milk sector from Bulgaria and the EU will be organized.
