Increasing awareness for the protection of the marine environment in the Black Sea.

The project proposal is a common initiative between Fisheries Local Action Group FLAG Byala- Avren -Dolny Chiflik, Insitute for training of personnel in international organisations and Institute for Agricultural Economics, related to environmental protection through a campaign to encourage the use of selective fishing gear in order to protect the marine environment. The project initially foresees information and publicity activities by conducting an information campaign to attract more people from the Black Sea coast to take part in the seminar, with targeted practical training aimed at citizens and especially fishermen and their work. It also envisages a survey of public attitudes about the readiness to undertake effective actions related to the protection of the marine environment. Based on the results of the study, learning content and learning materials will be developed.The project also envisages training in several stages - Distance learning; Training on -the -spot and Training seminar. The project also foresees the development and dissemination of manuals containing good European practices, their adaptation and implementation for Bulgaria as well as recommendations for implementation.
