"Modernization and reconstruction of fishing port "Quarantine", "Quarantine" area, "Asparuhovo" district, Varna Municipality

The current project proposal aims modernization and reconstruction of the existing fishing port "Quarantine", "Quarantine" area, "Asparuhovo" district, Varna municipality. The project will create a sheltered area in the sea for safe mooring of fishing boats, by which the need of creating modern conditions for fishing with relatively small vessels would be satisfied, as fishermen do not currently have adequate quayage places, places for unloading their capture under hygienic conditions and its sale. The investment is mainly targeted at fishermen and their associations, aiming efficiency of the resources through the achievement of environmentally sustainable, innovative, competitive and knowledge-based aquaculture. The goal of the project, which is the reconstruction and modernization of the fishing port, will be achieved by carrying out the following activities: execution of construction works and supplies related to the construction of the hydro-technical facilities in the water area, the territory with the approaches, the infrastructure with the necessary facilities and the main building of the fishing port which has a mixed use; exercising construction and designer supervision, according to the applicable regulations; information and communication activities related to project promotion; support for project implementation through external technical assistance; preparation of public procurement documentation.
