Construction of a covered boat shelter in the aquatory to the west of the Fishing port area (former Chengene skele area), Burgas Municipality

The project targets the construction of a specialized port infrastructure for the needs of non industrial fishing - a place for temporary shelter for fishing boats - a covered boat shelter to serve fishermen and support their activities in the settlement of Chengene skele, situated in the aquatory of Burgas gulf. The site is situated on the spatial plot 07079.10.1245 according to the Cadastral map of Burgas. Distinguished by the fishermen buildings and the authentic way of living of the local fishermen, who practice traditional fishing for years, the settlement has been known as a place with specific atmosphere. The location of the site close to the settlement, availability of transport and communication facilities in the area are a prerequisite for the investment initiative of Burgas Municipality related to the development of the territory and concentration of resources to improve existing and build new infrastructure. The layout of the coast and the wave regime without affecting the beaches, protection of the coast, floods and alluvion, prevention of sea abrasion and crashes are taken into account. The covered boat shelter is situated into the aquatory at a depth of 1,78m, including a breakwater with approximate length of 200 m, forming and protecting the aquatory of the boat shelter form the Nort, Northwest and West. There is a a landing with a ramp for descending and ascending of boats envisaged; an accessing channel with a depth of 2.5 to 4.5m; a fence for the territory of the boat shelter to provide controlled access; a checkpoint; water and energy supply facilities for the boats; water supply network on the spot to supply the facilities and for fire reaction. The project aims at providing suitable and safe conditions for work and living of the fishing community at Chengene skele and the neighboring settlements.
