Diversification of the income of Selin 09 Ltd through the development of restaurant with offering its own catch

Selin 09 Ltd. is a company founded in 2009 with main activity of production and sale of fish products, commercial fishing and fish tourism. The company owns a fleet of 3 fishing boats active in small–scale coastal fishing. The company's policy is aimed at balancing its fleet, reducing unwanted catches and improving the economic performance by adding value to its own catches and diversifying income through the development of complementary activities concerning fishing. This policy is also in accordance with the Farm to Fork Strategy, one of the pillars of the European Green Deal which aims to emphasize the sustainable food production. The current project for investments on movable object snack bar restaurant on company own land in the beautiful seaside town of Shabla will implement this company's policy. For 2019 the company catch is almost 500 kg. It is envisaged that a significant part of the catch will be offered in the snack bar, prepared as: fish soup, fried fish, BBQ. The range of the restaurant will be supplemented by external supplies of fresh fish products caught in the Black Sea, as well as fish products of Bulgarian and EU origin. With project implementation will be created 1 new full-time jobs and will be keeped the current ones. With the implementation of the project proposal Selin 09 Ltd. will also fulfill the main objectives of the measure 1.1 related to the increase of the added value or the quality of the fish caught, which will lead to the expected result related to improving the competitiveness and viability of the coastal fleet. In conclusion, the processed and offered on the market after the implementation of the investment catch will satisfy the requirements of the target groups of customers, through access to safe, nutritious, affordable and sustainably produced local food in accordance with the guidelines for healthy and sustainable nutrition and shorter the supply chain.
