The project proposes an investment initiative aimed at the construction of a sheltered boat dock, situated southwest of RPL I, quarter 30, (PL ID 07079.20.470) according to the plan of Agala zone, territory of Sarafavo, Burgas, within the boundaries of PL ID 07079.1.1474 according to the cadastral Map of Burgas and the adjacent waters of the Black Sea. The projected capacity of the facility is 20 boats: 6.5m in length and 2.45 m in width –13; 6.5m in length and 2.25 m in width –7. The operating water zone of the sheltered boat dock is projected to have an area of 706 sq.m with a maneuverability zone of 355 sq.m. and an approach zone of 726 sq.m. It has been decided to create a water zone sheltered from waves, currents and sediments utilizing an L-shaped mole, with a body length of 39m, wing length of 36m and reaching a depth of 3.0m. Its role is to protect the harbor from rough seas. The mall will have channels available for laying communication cables and wires. On the seaside, the facility will have a vertical double-deck pier (there is a lower deck for convenience purposes). The plan also provides for a hinterland of small area and pier at the back, similar to the one behind the mole as well as a 6m wide slipway to facilitate the launching of vessels. The slipway will have a slope of 13.5%. It has not been planned to place pontoons for long term housing of boats in the water. To meet the needs of the fishermen, the mooring berths are planned to have electrical and water supply stations. An anchorage system will be installed. The project is aimed at improving the safety and fishing work conditions in the region. The main function of the investment proposal is the seasonal sheltering of small fishing boats along with an ecological one – to play the role of a facility to reinforce coastal stability, which will ensure the subsequent improvement in the condition of the seashore.
