Provision of ecological services in the fish farm Nikolaevo to "Tundzha-73" Ltd., Nikolaevo, Aquaculture sector subject to specific requirements for the management of Natura 2000 sites

The project envisages the application of aquaculture farming and breeding methods in full-scale fisheries compatible with the specific environmental needs and subject to the specific management requirements resulting from the designation of Natura 2000 sites, including environmental protection, biodiversity and the traditional characteristics of aquaculture areas . The territory of the fish farm falls within the Wild Birds Conservation Area BG0002052 "Zhrebchevo Dam" is bound by the prohibitions and restrictions arising from the Management Plan of the zone. The project is related to the conservation of species included in the Red Data Book of Bulgaria and / or Annex 3 of the Biodiversity Act - Small Cormorant (Phalacrocorax pygmeus), Gray Heron (Ardea cinerea), Pink Pelican (Pelecanus onocrotalus), Dalmatian pelican (Pelecanus crispus). Production in a fish farm, the town of Nikolaevo, is bound by compliance with the prohibitions and restrictions arising from the Management Plan for the Protected Area. The project proposal envisages activities for dissemination of knowledge and experience regarding the protection, restoration and sustainable use of the environment.
