Modernization of an existing mussels farm

With the implementation of this project, the applicant will carry out the modernization and extension of a black mussel farm (Mutilus Galloprovincialis Lam.) with a specially designed installation, biotechnique and complete biotechnology in the region of Kavarna.The investment will be implemented in harmony with all European requirements and standards. With the implementation of this project, the applicant will invest in equipment and facilities for the construction of 50 new long lines for cultivation of Black Sea mussels with an annual capacity of 250 tons, as the following: 1.Buoys needed for the long lines; 2. Rope resistant to UV radiation and abrupt temperature fluctuations, according to technological description; 3. Reinforced reinforced-concrete anchors; 4. Rope for cultivation of mussels; 5. Cotton for spinning of mussels stockings. The realization of the planned investment will result in the opening of new 7 jobs, as will preserve the existing 5 jobs. This project proposal is fully in line with the principles of horizontal EU policies: - Equality and non-discrimination - Promoting equal opportunities for all, including accessibility for people with disabilities through the integration of the principle of non-discrimination. - sustainable development - support for projects that contribute to environmental protection, resource efficiency and mitigation, climate change mitigation and adaptation, promote social inclusion and poverty reduction, job creation and the promotion of innovation on local level (to achieve the objectives of the Europe 2020 strategy).
