Modernization, improvement of working conditions and energy efficiency in the aquaculture farm in the General Kolevo Dam, Valchi Dol Municipality

The implementation of the current project proposal will modernize and develop the NOEMA 55 Ltd's fish farm, located in General Kolevo Dam area, Valchi Dol Municipality. At the moment, the candidate is implementing a project - "Aquaculture farm with floating nets (cages) a cage system for growing and selling of fish in the aquatory of the General Kolevo dam" under the MFP. At its own expense, the company instils in its production process an innovation that represents a patented useful model from Russia that serves to provide the best conditions for aquaculture. NOEMA 55 Ltd intends at his own expense to place a water purification filter on the existing small pond in the fish farm to grow a fish flock in order to modernize the reproductive process. The candidate plans to purchase a placeable object - caravan/container where he will set up a retail outlet for his own aquaculture production as well as a recreation room for staff to improve working conditions. For the employees in the fish farm it is also planned to purchase special work clothes. Covering the energy needs of the caravan will be achieved through the use of renewable energy - placing an autonomous photovoltaic system on the roof of the container, thereby achieving energy and resource efficiency. The implementation of the planned activities under this project proposal will respect the principles of horizontal EU policies on equality and nondiscrimination, and sustainable development. The realization of the project will contribute to modernization, development, improvement of working conditions and increase of energy efficiency through investment in renewable energy sources. As a result, NOEMA 55 Ltd will improve the competitiveness and viability of the fish farm, making it a sustainable unit in the aquaculture sector.
