Modernization, improvement of energy efficiency and working conditions in an aquaculture farm in Oborishte Dam, Valchi Dol Municipality

The implementation of the current project proposal will develop and modernize the farm and will improve the sustainability and competitiveness of the fish farm of "TERMO LEADER" Ltd, located in the Oborishte dam area, Valchi Dol Municipality. At the moment, the candidate is implementing a project for "Construction of a recirculation type landfill base for fattening fish to market sizes in Oborishte Dam under the MFP. The company plans to improve the production characteristics of the farm investing in extensive aquaculture by purchasing aerators placed in the dam to enrich the water with oxygen and provide more favorable living environment for the fish. The aerators, and also lighting fixtures, will be powered by a removable autonomous photovoltaic system, thereby achieving energy and resource efficiency.There is a planned improvement in working conditions for employees by providing social benefits - a place for recreation, eating and rest. "TERMO LEADER" Ltd intends at his own expense to place a water purification filter on the existing small pond in the fish farm to grow a fish flock in order to modernize the reproductive process. The implementation of the planned activities under this project proposal will respect the principles of horizontal EU policies on equality and non-discrimination, and sustainable development. The realization of the project will contribute to the development, modernization and improvement of the production characteristics of the fish farm, the improvement of the energy efficiency by investing in RES, as well as improvement of the working conditions for the employees. As a result "TERMO LEADER" Ltd will develop the competitiveness and viability of the fish farm, making it a sustainable unit in the aquaculture sector.
