Investments in modernization, improving energy efficiency and working conditions in a fish farm in the aquatory of Esenitsa dam, Valchi Dol Municipality

The current project proposal aims to improve the competitiveness and viability of the aquaculture farm of "Akropovich-2010" Ltd. by investing in modernization, improving energy efficiency and working conditions in the fish farm. The company manages under a concession contract Esenitsa dam in the Valchi Dol municipality, where breeds and grows extensively several fish species. The process of farm development involves investments in improving the aquaculture environment in the dam - buying aerators to enrich the water with oxygen and providing more favorable conditions for fish farming. The candidate intends at his own expense to place a water purification filter on the existing small pond in the fish farm to grow a fish flock in order to modernize the reproductive process. The company plans to buy a removable autonomous photovoltaic system to power the facilities (aerators and lighting fixtures) in the aquaculture farm, thereby achieving energy and resource efficiency. There is a planned improvement in working and safety conditions for employees by providing personal protective equipment, special work clothes and social benefits - a place for recreation, eating and rest. The implementation of the planned activities under this project proposal will respect the principles of horizontal EU policies on equality and non-discrimination, and sustainable development. The realization of the project will contribute to the modernization and improvement of the production characteristics of the fish farm, improvement of the working conditions and safety for the employees, as well as to the improvement of the energy efficiency by investing in RES. As a result of the implementation of the project activities, Akropovich-2010 Ltd will develop a sustainable and competitive farm in the aquaculture sector.
