Construction and equipment of a net cage farm for breeding and reproduction of species with good market prospects.

Vodnik Ltd is a micro-enterprise company founded in 2017, with main activity "Aquaculture, Fish cultivation, Production of fry material, Fish processing, trade of fisheries products, etc.". Since its inception, the applicant has been working on the preparation of its project proposal for the construction of a net cage farm located in the aquatory of the Alexander Stamboliyski dam for the production and reproduction of warm-water species of freshwater aquaculture. With the implementation of this project, the company will satisfy the needs of consumers in the country and abroad for deliveries of fresh fish of the species carp and European catfish. The main result of the implementation of the project proposal will be to provide the average annual production of 120 tons of consumption in each one of the five forecast business plan years. In addition, the company will carry out investment activities in the reproductive and production process to create its own flock of European catfish. After reaching maturity of the parents, subsequent hatching of material, mainly for their own needs, will be carried out. Additionally, the company will provide the breeding process for carp species fingerlings, which will grow in segregated net cage sections on the farm. The main activities of the project proposal consist of purchasing specialized equipment as follows: - construction of net cage installations; - purchase and assembling of additional production equipment; - purchase of 1 pc. service vessel; - purchase of 1 pc. specialized transport vehicle; With the implementation of the project, Vodnik Ltd. will significantly improve the competitiveness and economic viability of the aquaculture sector and will contribute to the fulfillment of the objectives set out in the Multi-Annual National Strategic Plan for Aquaculture in the Republic of Bulgaria (2014-2020)
