The subject of the project is "Improving the competitiveness and increasing work safety at "FISH INVEST Ltd". "FISH INVEST" Ltd. is a company with main activity producing rainbow trout, carp and sturgeon caviar (which are fish with good and very good market potential). Production activity of the company is located in the town of Montana. "FISH INVEST" Ltd. has a modern cage base in Ogosta Reservoir where is grown carp for consumption and sturgeon for black caviar, and in the winter months, when the conditions are suitable rainbow trout is grown as well . "FISH INVEST" LTD has a modern trout farmstead in the town of Montana, where the main part of the production of rainbow trout is done. In 2013-2017, the quantities of the three main types of fish produced by the company are increasing every year, and at present FISH INVEST Ltd. has a yearly production. about 1000 tons of rainbow trout, 700 tons of carp for consumption and 300 tons of carp harvester and growing biomass of black caviar sturgeon. Since its inception, FISH INVEST Ltd. has been constantly striving to improve its manufacturing capabilities and competitiveness and to ensure healthy and safe working conditions for workers. At the present time, in the cage base, the removal and transfer of the fish is applied manually or by means of a keel, which is labor-intensive and time-consuming and leads to the trauma of the fish. Within this project, the company plans to buy 2 Propeller Pumps (Large 8" and Small 6") for sucking live fish as well as providing life-jackets for workers. The measures aim at modernizing and improving the productive features of the farm and improving the safety of workers. The production capacity will be maintained, which means (based on the Marketing Report - Appendix 18) that there are good and sustainable market prospects for the products.
