Project title "Danube - a new alternative for economic development and employment of Municipality Svishtov"

The geographic location of the territory covered by this project proposal on the side of the Danube, naturally assumes tradition in fisheries. At present the territory of municipality of Svishtov, fisheries is historically natural, it was in centuries of history livelihood of the population, but is with reduced functions and importance due to changing economic profile of the city. Project "Danube - a new alternative for economic development and employment Svishtov Municipality" aims under the Measure 4.1 "Preparatory assistance strategies CLLD" Priority Union 4: "Increasing employment and territorial cohesion" to promote CLLD and create of the territory of municipality Svishtov, Local Action Fisheries Group. By implementing and using the potential of a "bottom-up" as a result of meetings, discussions, training of local leaders and stakeholders from sectors "Fisheries" and "Aquaculture", aims to provoke and resurgence of interest in fisheries. The project proposal has set the task to involve a wide range of stakeholders, regardless of age, gender, education and employment. The idea is - participants after wide public consultation, to determine their own vision for development of the territory, while provoking widespread public-private partnership, with the aim of creating new busyness. After removal of the main priorities and activities to achieve the aims will be create new opportunities to increase employment and use of alternatives. Last but not least the project proposal relies on available but unused in the sector methods of alternative education, awareness, research know-how and opportunities for development of business in the territory of fishing area.
